Not sure of the history of this clock. Very beautiful clock. It does work and keep accurate time. Runs on 1 D battery. It is heavy. The attractive part of this clock are the Cameos on the top and bottom of the clock. The frame is wood and the Gold design around the clockface itself is Metal.
The black background is glass.
I found this at an estate sale.
Excellent condition. No chips, nicks, nothing.
